DIRECTOR
Navin Sharma
As Director and principal accountant, Navin brings a wealth of experience of the New Zealand financial system. Navin has worked in New Zealand for the past 30 years, and has operated his own accounting business for the past 20 years.
Navin specialises in ensuring his clients have the correct financial structures in place to maximise returns and mitigate his client's exposure to risks in the long term.
Navin provides business and accounting advice to numerous industries ranging from small business to large property investors, motor vehicle dealers and motels and hotels. Navin is able to bring practical, real world experience to every engagement.
Navin is passionate about helping his clients to succeed in their pursuits and believes that through hard work and a little bit of creativity, anything is possible. Outside the office he enjoys family life with his wife and two sons, fishing, travelling and property investment..
MANAGER
Rajniel Maharaj
Rajniel joined MSA in 2005 as an Assistant Accountant and has been the firms Manager and Administrator since 2009. He has made a huge contribution to the growth of the firm and is a crucial member of the MSA team.
Rajniel studied in Fiji and graduated with a Bachelors of Art, Economics and Information Technology from the University of South Pacific.
With over a decade of experience in New Zealand, Rajniel has developed specialist technical knowledge in accounting and taxation issues that face small to medium sized businesses. Other areas that he specialises in, include: property accounting, business valuations, due diligence reports, cash flow forecasting and business planning, finance restructuring and assisting clients in their negotiations with the Inland Revenue and other creditors.
When he is out of the office, Rajniel loves to spend time with his wife and two kids. He also enjoys current affairs, travelling, playing tennis and table tennis.
ACCOUNTANT
Anita Maharaj
Anita joined MSA in 2008 as an Assistant Accountant and quickly moved up to being Accountant. With over ten years of experience, Anita has accrued a wealth of knowledge on the accounting, tax and employment rules in New Zealand and prides herself on her ability to ensure her clients are able to get the best outcome available.
Anita specialises in financial and management accounting where she provides her clients with financial and management reports to help clients understand their business while also providing taxation advice and performing the payroll function.
In her spare time, Anita loves spending time with her two sons and spends her weekends watching them play football at the local club. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing with a glass of wine, travelling and finding new adventures to go on.
ACCOUNTANT
Minal Hugar
Minal joined out firm in 2016 as an Assistant Accountant and quickly became a key member of our team. She holds a Post Graduation Diploma in Accounts & Finance from Auckland Institute of Studies, Auckland & MBA in Finance from ICFAI, India.
Minal has a strong educational background and has shown a strong skillset when it comes to preparing financial statements, PAYE and Income Tax Returns for clients. She brings a friendly and bubbly personality and enjoys helping her clients achieve their goals.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and listening to music.
GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT
Rajiv Sharma
Rajiv is a graduate from the University of Auckland and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law. He is now completing his Masters of Taxation Studies and is also studying to become a Chartered Accountant.
Rajiv provides support to the rest of the team and helps with data entry, bank reconciliations, GST returns, Income Tax Returns, payroll activities, and financial statement preparation.
In his spare time, Rajiv enjoys watching and playing sports, listening to music and travelling.
